This paper describes the development of a heart rate monitor system based on a microcontroller. It offers the advantage of portability over tape-based recording systems. The paper explains how a single- chip microcontroller can be used to analyze heart beat rate signals in real-time. In addition, it allows doctors to get the heart beat rate file of the patient by e-mail every twenty four hours. It can also be used to control patients or athletic person over a long period. The system reads, stores and analyses the heart beat rate signals repetitively in real-time. The hardware and software design are oriented towards a single-chip microcontroller-based system, hence minimizing the size. The important feature of this paper is the use of zero crossing algorithms to compute heart rate. It then processes on real-time the information to determine some heart diseases.

Bioavailability can be increased by changing in disintegration and dissolution the aqueous solubility is lesser than 1μg/ml will definitely create a bioavailability problem and thereby affecting the efficacy of the drug. There are number of methods through which aqueous solubility of the drug can be increased in which solid dispersions is one of the effective and accepted technique in the pharmaceutical industry. The solid dispersion was defined as the dispersion of one or more active ingredients in an inert carrier or matrix. The purpose of the study was to improve the physicochemical properties of gatifloxacin like solubility, dissolution properties and stability of poorly soluble drug by forming dispersion with mannitol as water soluble carrier. The solid dispersion of gatifloxacin by Physical triturating method, kneading and Solvent evaporation were prepared using 1:1, 1:2,1:3 and 1:4 ratios of drug and polymer (mannitol). The saturation solubility was carried using USP type XXIV (paddle) type dissolution apparatus. The prepared dispersion showed marked increase in the saturation solubility and dissolution rate of gatifloxacin than that of pure drug. The dispersion with mannitol (1:4) by kneading method showed faster dissolution rate (99.85%) as compared to other dispersions with urea (1:1,1:2 and 1:3) whichever prepared by physical mixture and solvent evaporation method. The FT-IR shows the complexation and there were no interactions. Finally solid dispersion of gatifloxacin: mannitol prepared as 1:4 ratio by kneading method showed excellent physicochemical characteristics and was found to be described by dissolution release kinetics and was selected as the best formulation in this study.Keywords

Garden pea (Pisum sativum L. var. hortense) is an important legume vegetable grown for its fresh, shelled green seeds rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals. At present over 1000 germplasm lines are available in India. Improvement of garden pea in the country was initiated during the 1940s in IARI and later in several other agricultural universities/ ICAR institutes. Currently, 27 early-varieties and 59 mid-season varieties are under cultivation in india. Initially, focus was on developing early-maturing varieties with high yield and quality. Subsequently, emphasis was laid on developing mid-season varieties having resistance to powdery mildew and other major diseases like Fusarium wilt and rust. Besides, varieties with resistance to bruchids and the leaf miner are also available. In the present paper, an attempt has been made to review current status of improvement of garden pea in India, covering its genetic resources, variability, heritability, genetic advance, heterosis and combining ability, G x E interaction, male sterility, breeding for biotic and abiotic stresses, mutation breeding and biotechnological applications. In recent years, there has been an increase in demand for varieties suited to kharif and early summer seasons, with resistance to powdery mildew, rust, Fusarium ischolar_main wilt/rot and stemfly and also for processing and export. Therefore, future thrust in the improvement of garden pea would be on developing varieties tolerant to biotic and abiotic stresses (mainly high temperature), and also for processing and export.Keywords

Boiler is one of the important applications of the engineering without which there may not be many of the industrial sectors. And most of the engineering applications would be in vain without. Imagining a power plant, steel plants, manufacturing units, beverages industries, chemical plants, pharmaceutical industries and many more without a boiler would not be reasonable and appreciable. To maintain high efficiency and profitable products without boiler would highly impossible. This shows the role of a boiler is vital in the engineering society and is to be given an effort to study it leads to its further developments.
The research in this field would be beneficial and economic to the developing country like India. In this piece of article we made an effort to analysis and improving of 10tph briquette boiler efficiency. The efficiency improvement requires many inputs and outputs to be considered. We tried to put all the required inputs to get the desired input.

India being developing country transportation is important aspect of it to be one of the developed countries in future. Thus a comfortable transportation is important for its growth. Trains contribute major transportation facilities among India in majority like transport of goods, raw materials, posts, couriers, services sometimes, and passengers to carry on their journey. These results in effective transportation with less capital to government and to people, which is only possible India’s present young engineers. Locomotive being the major part of train to work the detailed study of locomotives is must these locomotives are of various types and various principles involve in them. This works only with external force in the form of fuel. Fuel is the important ingredient for locomotive to work. Hence the fuel managing systems are of the vital importance. These fuels are of various types including conventional and non conventional resources. The major fuel used in India is diesel. This particular paper throws light on the fuel injection pumps and nozzles in a diesel locomotive. This study enlightens various parts, functions, assembling, disassembling testing working of nozzles and pumps.

Phylogenetic diversity (PD) indices quantify the evolutionary history of a community. Studies have shown how decoupling between taxon richness (TR) and PD provides useful insights into biodiversity. The present study on three dry deciduous forest patches (Nandi, Savandurga and Devarayandurga) shows such decoupling patterns. Our analysis of unique (endemic) taxa revealed that whereas the high PD in Nandi was contributed largely by its unique taxa which were composed of different evolutionary lineages, unique taxa in Savandurga contributed negatively due to highly shared lineages. Also, the use of higher-level TR did not provide an adequate surrogate for PD. We, therefore, propose the use of an integrative approach (both TR and PD) to quantify biodiversity for gaining better insights into the composition and evolutionary history of a community.Keywords
