Consequently administrative law has come to be taught as a compulsory subject in the law schools all over and also in India. In this context there arose the need for good text books. S.P. Sathe's book, Administrative Law, now running in its fifth edition in a short span of two decades, has come to occupy a pride of place in the legal literature on administrative law.
