Marriage is the most significant commitment that an individual makes in his/her life. Being the most intimate relationship between two persons in their life time, a good marriage not only leads to a happy and contented life, but also generates a sense of well- being. Further, a happy and well adjusted marital life is the firm basis upon which a stable family is built. In view of the significance of the above, the present study was an attempt to understand marital adjustment and psychological well- being among dual- employed couples. The wives had better marital adjustment than their husbands, whereas, the husbands showed better efficiency and mental health. Occupation and educational level of the couples have significant impact on their marital adjustment and psychological well-being.
