Aim

The present study was undertaken with the following aim:

1. To see wheather cytomorphological study of pleural fluid in patients of TPE can help in facilitating the diagnosis in cases persistently found negative on bacteriological examination.

2. To provide an early diagnosis of tuberculosis.
