Herbal Agents for Dentinal Hypersensitivity:A Review

Dentinal hypersensitivity is an age-old complaint of man and a common condition of transient tooth pain related with variety of exogenous stimuli. Several herbs have been found to be suitable in the treatment of periodontal diseases as they have been reported to have no side effects. Herbal products containing spinach, cloves, cinnamon, suryakshara, eucalyptusand propolis have been used for treating dentin sensitivity. Therefore, the significance of these products in therapeutic as well as pharmaceutical technique urged us to exploreherbal agents for dentinal hypersensitivity and to get clues for future scope.
