The present study is an attempt to find out the level of burnout experienced by the school teachers. The sample of this study was consisted of 320 school teachers working in different schools of Jamshedpur. The sample was based on stratified random sampling technique, the stratification being gender (Male and Female), work experience (High and Low) and nature of school (Government and Private). Maslach and Jackson (1981) was administered on the samples. ANOVA was applied to see the significance of difference among the various comparison groups. The result revealed that teachers of both gender did not differ significantly on their level of burnout. Further the result reveled that both the teachers belonging to government and private school managements differed significantly on their level of burnout. And high experience and low experience schools teachers differed significantly on their experience of burnout. Further the interaction effects are also discussed.Keywords

The present study is an aimed to find out level of adjustment and anxiety among tribal and non-tribal student. The total samples consist of 184 among 92 tribal students and 92 non-tribal students. The research tool assessing the level of adjustment developed by Bell (1934) (Mohsin&Shamshad adaptation) was used. Sinha Anxiety Scale was administered to find out the level of anxiety. Obtained score were analyzed with the help of t-test and r was applied to check correlation. Result reveled that, there was significant difference between tribal and non-tribal students on adjustment and anxiety. Tribal students possessed more anxiety and adjustment related problems. The results also showed significant of difference on the dimension of home, health, social and emotional adjustment. Further, correlation coefficient signifies the negative relationship between anxiety and adjustment.Keywords

Present study is an attempt of examine the level of job satisfaction and job involvement among private and government employees working in different branches of Jamshedpur. Job satisfaction scale developed by Singh and Sharma (1999) was used the collect the data for assessing the level of job satisfaction. Job involvement scale developed standardized by Singh (1984) was used to examine the level of job involvement. The result revealed that government employees are more satisfied as compare to private banks employees. Whereas, private banks employees tend to be more involved with their job as compare to their counterpart. Further, job satisfaction and job involvement are significantly correlated with each other.Keywords

Doctors are the life line of any nation. They imbibe wellness to the society. On the earth they act with their divine profession and save lives of people. The present study is an attempt to find out the organizational role stress among doctors. The sample consists of 50 doctors (26 males and 24 females). Pareek's (1983) organizational role stress (ORS) scale was used to measure ten types of role stress ( inter-role stress (IRD), role stagnation (RS), role expectation conflict (REC), role erosion (RE), role overload (RO), role isolation (RI), personal inadequacy (PI), self-role distance (SRD), role ambiguity (RA), resource inadequacy (RIn)). The sample further bifurcated into two groups fresher and experience holders. The t-test was used to find out the significance of differences for each type of role stress. Result revealed that there was no significance of difference in male and female doctors. Both are equally experiencing stress. Although, the role stagnation is stronger in female doctors as compare to male doctors. It has also been seen that experienced holders and fresher were differed significantly in terms of organizational role stress. They differ on the dimension of role erosion (RE) and role overload (RO). Role erosion (RE) and role overload (RO) were stronger in experienced doctors as compared to fresher. And total role stresses were stronger in experienced doctors as compared to fresher.Keywords
