Old age is a period when people move away from previous more desirable period or time of usefulness. In this study 73 samples were collected 35 from urban and 38 from rural and attempted to find out the comparison regarding the quality of life and sexual function of urban and rural old age population to help them in improving the quality of life and adjust well in sexual function in the best possible way. The study was conducted at Post Graduate Institute of Behavioural and Medical Sciences (PGIBAMS ) using specially designed socio-demographic and personal data sheets. The information was gathered from old age population using WHOQOL-BREF and International index of erectile function Questionnaire (IIEFQ) to know the quality of life and erectile function respectively. The result found no significant difference regarding quality of life (Qol) between urban and rural old age population but better result showed in urban old age population regarding sexual desire than rural old age population.

Rehabilitation describes specialized healthcare dedicated to improving, maintaining or restoring physical strength, cognition and mobility with maximized results. Typically, rehabilitation helps people gain greater independence after illness, injury or surgery. Rehabilitation plays a critical role in healing, repair and recovery in a wide range of injuries, illnesses and conditions: Improves speech, everyday skills and mobility in stroke, head injury and other neurological disorders, strengthens bones and promotes muscular healing after total joint replacement surgery and other orthopedic surgery and many others. (Understanding the Art and Science of Rehabilitation Medicine, 2010). This study focus on rehabilitation approaches, models, legal rights, empowerment issues, social benefits and supports from government to strengthen in the services of disability.Keywords

Alcohol dependence affects physical and mental health, and causes problems with family, friends, and work (Ovuga&Madrama, 2006) In this study 620 samples were collected out of which 310 were alcohol dependent and 310 were spouses and attempted to find out the quality of life of alcohol dependents, marital satisfied of alcohol dependents towards the spouses and marital satisfaction of the spouses towards alcohol dependents. The study was conducted at in patient department (IPD) and outpatient department (OPD) of Vijayawada Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (VIMHANS) using specially designed Socio demographic and Personal data sheets. The informations were gathered from alcohol dependents using severity of alcohol dependent Questionnaire (SADQ) and WHOQOL-100 Australian Version (2000) to find out the severity of alcohol dependence and quality of life respectively. Marital Satisfaction Scale (MSS) was used to collect information from alcohol dependents subjects and spouses to evaluate their marital satisfaction. The result found clinically most of the alcohol dependents were severely dependence on alcohol and have poor quality of life. Majority of the alcohol dependents were expressing adequate marital satisfaction towards the spouses but majority of spouses were not satisfied towards alcohol dependents.Keywords

Neuropsychology is the speciality of clinical psychology which deals with the study of brain behavior relationship. Clinical neuropsychology uses the principles and procedures of neuropsychology in clinical setting to understand brain related problems or clinical conditions to intervene into them, manage them and to rehabilitate persons suffering from such conditions (Sharma & Sinha, 2000). In this study 42 samples were collected and attempted to find out their associated depression and organic brain dysfunction in order to help alcohol dependents in improving their associated depression and organic brain dysfunction in the best possible way. The study was conducted at in patient department of Post Graduate Institute of Behavioural and Medical Sciences (PGIBAMS) using specially design socio-demographic and personal data sheets. The informations were gathered from alcohol dependents using Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) and Nehor Benson Test to find out their depression and organic brain dysfunction. The result found that most of the alcohol dependents were having severe level of depression and organic brain dysfunction.Keywords

In this study 50 samples of faculties were collected randomly from Amity University Rajasthan (AUR). The study was conducted in Department of Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences (AIBAS), Amity university Rajasthan (AUR). The information were gathered from teaching faculties using: 1. Carl Ryff't Psychological wellbeing scale 2. The Oxfort Happiness Questionnaire and 3. Satisfaction With Life Scale (SWLS) to find out psychological wellbeing, happiness and satisfaction of them. The result found majority faculties of AUR were having better sense of psychological wellbeing, happy and average in satisfaction. Moreover, it also indicates significant positive co-relation between happiness and life satisfaction.Keywords

The number of people with disabilities is increasing due to population growth, ageing, emergence of chronic diseases and medical advances that preserve and prolong life, creating overwhelming demands for health and rehabilitation services (Srivastava & Khan, 2008). In India, the prevalence of total disability ranges from of5518.39 to 16388.38 in rural and urban population (A handbook of statistical Indicators on Indian Women, 2007). When we look on prevalence of disability worldwide it range from 0.7 % to 19.4% (Walia, 2011). There is need to study disability order to help them in the best possible way (Singh, 2008). So this study attempt to describe disability, models of disability, impact of disability and areas to concern when measure for disability in India so as to provide some light on general public as well as professional in the field.Keywords

The purpose of the study is to assess and find out significance difference of college going girls graduate from boys of similar education in terms of personality, adjustment and emotional intelligence. A total sample of 60 out of which 30 boys and 30 girls of College going graduates were selected from different colleges of Chandigarh using purposive and consecutive sampling method. The study was conducted at Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh. All the participants were administered: 1. Eysenck's personality questionnaire 2. Adjustment inventory of college students and 3. Emotional intelligence scale to assess their personality, adjustment and emotional intelligence of them. The result found Boys and Girls in College going graduates has similar personality traits and adjusted as no significant difference between the two groups found in the areas of emotion, home, education, social and health. Likewise, when concern about emotional intelligence both the group has similar nature of emotional intelligence in all the domains like- own emotion, regulation, social skills, utilization optimism and other emotions. It can be concluded from this study that both boys and girls in college going graduates has similar pattern of personality traits, girls are also adjusted well as much as boys in all the domains of adjustment and also has equal emotional intelligence like boys.Keywords

AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) was identified as a new syndrome in 1981. Scientists suggested for the first time that perhaps AIDS was caused by a virus. Such a virus could reach haemophiliacs through their use of Factor VIII, a donated blood clotting agent. The HIV virus was first isolated in 1983. Progression from HIV to HIV disease and AIDS varies in time. AIDS reflects a reduction in T-helper cells and specifically those that are CD4-positive T-cells. This causes immune deficiency and the appearance of opportunistic infections. The role of various psychosocial factors in the increment and prognosis of disease in specified along with various risk factors and in order to deal with them the aspect of mental health professional effective dealing and management is specified.Keywords
