Parenting Style and Depression among Youth

The present study was an attempt to investigate the relation between parenting style and depression among youth. The sample of 400 youths with age range of 18-40 years were administered psychological tests Beck Depression Inventary and Parental Authority Questionnaire. Product movement method was used to know the relationship between all the variables. Results have been presented in table. A significant association was found between three Parenting styles and measures of depression among youth.
