Management of anxiety disorders is a matter of utmost attention and poses challenges for the selection of adequate line of treatment to ensure the provision of the most appropriate management of symptoms of anxiety disorders. Hence, the present article attempts to unfold the possibilities of having effective complementary treatments viz. nutritional therapy as well as psychotherapy for the management of the anxiety disorders. Psychodynamic psychotherapy and CBT are helpful in the management of symptoms of anxiety disorders and nutritional supplementation has a role in reducing anxiety symptoms, although both complementary management require more research investigations, to establish whether the result outcomes will be better if employed in combination with psychopharmacological treatment or not.
