Nitrogen is one of the primary requirements of growth media for any cell. Absence of nitrogen or starvation condition is considered as stress by the organisms. Increasing the nitrogen concentration upto 0.04 M significantly increased the biomass, protein, phycocyanin and lipid content of Spirulina, while total carotenoids and ?-carotene content were reduced compared to control. In contrast, the biomass, protein, phycocyanin and lipid content were reduced in the control indicating that nitrogen requirement for synthesis of aminoacids, which make up protein and other cellular components such as phycocyanin. The accumulation of carotenoids under nitrogen starvation may be due to production of a large amount of acetyl-CoA, which serves as a precursor for synthesis of carotenoids.Keywords

The Internet Control Message Protocol is classic example of a client server application. The ICMP server executes on all IP end system computers and all IP intermediate systems (routers). The protocol is used to report problems with delivery of IP datagram within an IP network. It can be used to report about errors when a particular End System is not responding, when an IP network is not reachable, when a node is overloaded, when an error occurs in the IP header nformation, etc. The protocol is also frequently used by Internet managers to verify the correct operations of End Systems and to check that routers are correctly routing packets to the ecified destination address. The ICMP is also used for troubleshooting the TCP/IP networks. In this paper we demonstrate how the troubleshooting can be done more effective with the use of ICMP. We also discuss about security flaws of ICMP and problems in Source Quench message of ICMP messages and suggestions to solve the problems.

Objectives: To derive a steady state solution of bulk arrival queue with fixed batch service, in addition the server may break down and the server takes compulsory vacation at each service completion points. Methods/Statistical Analysis: Using supplementary variable technique and Laplace Stieltjes transform, the probability generating functions has been obtained for finding the steady state solution. Findings: Using the properties of probability generating function, some performance measures of the queuing model have been obtained at various server state. The model has been compared with existing once by assuming particular distributions to respective random variables. Application/Improvements: The results obtained has been comprehended by illustrating numerical examples.Keywords

In Industrial manufacturing, product inspection is an important step in the production process. Since product reliability is most important in mass production facilities. Visual inspection seeks to identify both functional and cosmetic defects. The visual inspection in most manufacturing process depends mainly on human operators whose performance is generally inadequate and Variable. Advances in technology have resulted in better, cheaper image analysis equipment, which enable the use of affordable automated visual inspection system. The major advantages of automatic operation are speed and diagnostic capabilities. A Neural Network is a powerful datamodeling tool that is able to capture and represent Complex input/output relationships. The objective of this paper is to enhance on modeling, integrating, and implementation of neural network technique in the bottle manufacturing industry for quality control.Keywords
