Abstract

In India sustaining dairy farming as a rural livelihood and to meet the growing demand of milk, necessitates development and dissemination of technology for improving the farm's output. There is also a need to understand how far existing innovations are adopted by farmers and factors influencing adoption and/or rejection. Hence, the factors that influence adoption and the extent of adoption were consolidated from past research using meta analysis and other techniques. It was found that at large-level farmer's knowledge (true effect size r value +0.64) and at medium-level (true effect size r value ranging from +0.32 to +0.47) attitude, risk-taking behaviour and economic motivation, milk production and sales, education, extension agency contacts and mass media exposure influenced adoption of dairy innovation. Further, along with the above factors poor innovation attributes were limiting adoption to 55%.

Abstract

HTML is Hypertext Markup Language which is used to design webpage for storing static information. HTML is a broadly utilized markup dialect to make up endless pages. Simultaneous HTML parser would prompt to considerable execution change and a superior client encounter. In any case, simultaneous the HTML parser is testing a direct result of a solid cyclic reliance in the parser display. In this paper proposes an ontology-based HTML Simultaneous parser plan that parts the info HTML record by a "div" tag, and procedures the autonomous halfway contributions with different parser strings. Simultaneous Parser scans the input and modifies as Tokens. Tokens are sequence of characters. Simultaneous parser can be executed parallel. Abstract

The present study was conducted in 2008 to document the indigenous knowledge prevalent in sheep and goat farming systems in Tamil Nadu, India. Fifty sheep farmers in Tirunelveli district and fifty goat farmers in Erode district were selected by proportionate random sampling method and the data were collected through an interview schedule and analysed and ranked for getting inferences. The results revealed that in sheep farming system, the traditional practices such as lamb hut (100%), washing the sheep in ponds for tick removal (100%), selecting good breeding rams (96%), sheep penning (94%), and twinning (76%) were known to sheep farmers. In goat farming system, rearing bucks for religious purpose (100%), kid house (100%), tethering (96%), and locally made shelter (84%) were known to goat farmers. A close look at the indigenous practices in sheep and goat farming systems indicates the area-specific nature of these practices/beliefs.

Abstract

Chronic rhinosinusitis leading to nasal polyps affect approximately 4.3% of the population. Most of the people with Chronic rhinosinusitis have a history of allergy. Here in a case report of a sinonasal polyp with an impact of allergy in pathophysiology . We are presenting a rare case report of Sino nasal polyp, which initially posed a diagnostic dilemma due to its intriguing clinical presentation. Computed tomography (CT) Investigation is the preferred method for the paranasal sinus pathologies, because of the exquisite bony detail of the PNS anatomy.

Abstract

The problem of alcohol occurs at different levels of severity, from mild and annoying threatening. Although alcohol dependence is most severe problem, less severe drinking problem can also be dangerous. Alcoholism is a condition that results in the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, despite health problems and negative social consequences. Alcoholism is also known as alcohol dependence, is a disease that includes alcohol craving, withdrawal symptoms, physical symptoms, and psychological symptoms like anxiety, depression, suicidal tendencies etc., This study was aimed to assess the effectiveness of biofeedback assisted progressive muscle relaxation on reduction of anxiety and depressive symptoms among alcoholics in Krishna Nursing home Coimbatore. This study adopted an evaluative approach, and made use of true experimental randomized pretest and post test control group design. Conceptual framework adopted for this study was the Modified Roy’s adaptation theory (1984). A total of 60 samples out of which 30 samples for experimental group and 30 for control group using simple random sampling (consecutive sampling) who fulfilled the inclusion criteria. Pretest was done for both experimental and control group to assess the Anxiety and depressive symptoms using Beck anxiety scale and Beck depressive Inventory scale respectively. Biofeedback assisted progressive muscle relaxation was administered to the experimental group for 30 minutes once a day for 10 days and routine treatment for control group. Post test was done for experimental and control group using same above mentioned scales. The gathered data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The independent t value of anxiety was 9.324 and depressive symptoms value was 8.42which was significant at P<0.05 level respectively. The study findings revealed that biofeedback assisted progressive muscle relaxation were beneficial ad there was a significant reduction in anxiety and depressive symptoms among alcoholics in experimental group.
