Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and Ultrasonic Society of India jointly organized the XII-National Symposium on Ultrasonics (XII-NSU) during November 3-5, 2003 at Amritsar. The theme of the symposium was an effort to bring to-gather all active researchers, users of ultrasonics and industrialists engaged in manufacturing equipments on application of ultrasonics. Research papers were invited relevant to physical ultrasonics, medical ultrasonic, sensors and transducers, non-destructive evaluation, industrial ultrasonics, characterization of materials, MEMS, photo acoustics and acoustic emission.
