Social support is the degree to which individuals have access to social resources, in the form of relationships, on which they can rely. Social network is meaningful social contact, availability of social confidants and human companionship. Social Support is an enduring pattern of continuous or intermittent ties that play a significant part in the individual's life over time. He further states that emotional support consists of enduring interpersonal ties to a group of people who can be called upon to provide emotional sustenance, assistance and resources in time of need, who provide feedback and who share standards and values. The aim of the present study is to find out the social support as a mediator variable of burnout an organizational role stress among married and unmarried women teachers. The investigators used the questionnaire of Sarason, Levme Bashan and Sarason (1983) to measure social support, Maslach's Inventory (1981) to measure burnout and ORS to measure organizational role stress. The results revealed that due to social support these teachers neither exhausted emotionally nor feel lack of personal accomplishment therefore treated their pupils as humans not as an object. The significant mediating effects of social support showed for unmarried teachers when the criterion variable emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, dimensions of burnout. While for married teachers social support was the predator variable for personal accomplishment a third dimension of burnout.Keywords

Burnout is a syndrome of emotional exhaustion, depersonalization or reduced personal accomplishment that can occur among individuals who do "people work" of some kind. It is a response to the chrome emotional strain of dealing extensively with other human beings particularly when they are troubled or having problems. The aim of the present study is to find out the burnout status among women teachers and in addition to find out the difference if any between married and unmarried teachers regarding the experience of burnout. Maslach and Jackson (1981) scale was used to measure burnout.A sample of 300 women teachers(150 married and l50 unmarried teachers)was taken in the present study. Results elucidated that unmarried teachers are more vulnerable to burnout as they are more emotionally exhausted and depersonalized and have reduced personal accomplishment in comparison to married teachers. But the interesting thing is that both married and unmarried teachers experience below than average level of burnout.Keywords

Stock Dividends being purely a redistribution of funds between reserves and paid up share capital does not affect the firm's net worth, and should therefore have no impact on share prices and trading volume. This has been supported by the findings of some empirical studies but a number of studies have also shown a positive relationship between bonus issue announcements and the share prices. The lack of conclusive evidence for the same prompted the present study. The study provided evidence of the signaling hypothesis as a significant positive abnormal return of 1.983% was found on announcement day.- A Proposed Stratification Approach for MRI Images

Background/Objectives: To classify brain MRI Images utilizing neural system. The methodology helps the specialist to robotize the examination of MRI Images and to group them into healthy and unhealthy one. Methods/Statistical Analysis: A methodology is proposed to recognize grey matter so that unhealthy MRI images can be ordered from healthy MRI Images. Classification of Brain MRI Images on the premise of Gray matter and white matter is done utilizing Neural Network pattern recognition. The novel methodology utilizes preprocessing strategies and various filters available in matlab for viable extraction and investigation of Brain MRI Images taken from BRAINIX and Neuroimaging data repository. Findings: The work has been tested on 227 variables on fifteen patients. Out of 15 samples,70% of samples are taken for Training, 15% for validation and15% for testing. Application/Improvements: This methodology is a simple alternative to be utilized as a part of doctor's facilities and medicinal places to guide doctors as well as researchers.Keywords

Workplace mindfulness and its impact have been inadequately understood so far within the managerial literature in Indian context. This paper examines the effects of workplace mindfulness on employees working in private sectors. The present study aimed to see the influence of mindfulness on employees’ life satisfaction and job involvement. The study examined professionals, identified through purposive sampling of (N = 150, 86 males and 64 females). The tools used were - namely, Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), Job Involvement Scale and Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). To determine individual’s degree of conscious awareness about things in work settings was assessed by using trait mindfulness construct (MAAS). The present study aimed to see the influence of mindfulness on employees’ life satisfaction and job involvement. Mindfulness was found to be significantly mediating the relationship between life satisfaction and job involvement. Study also investigated the predictive power of mindfulness with respect to employees’ life satisfaction. Findings support the hypotheses and claim for the positive correlation between the two constructs. We acknowledge the theoretical and factual implication of this research features provide broad pathways for more future researches on mindfulness in workplace settings.Keywords
