Purpose: To determine the effect of balance training in high school athletes after lateral ankle sprains. Subject: 60 male subjects aged 15-18 yearsMethods: 60 high school male athletes in the age group of 15-18 years with lateral ankle sprain were assigned to training. Subjects of training group participated in a 4(four) week balance training program based on a compilation of the rehabilitation and balance validated and published in prior studies. SEBT and CAIT score were taken to measure severity of functional ankle stability during pre - and post- balance training programme.
Result: After balance training ,significant differences were found in reach distance of SEBT score in Anterior(A), Lateral(L), Medial(M), Anteromedial(AM), Anterolateral(AL), Posteromedial (PM) and Posterolateral(PL); whereas the reach distance in posterior(P) direction showed insignificant difference. Significant difference was noted in the post-training CAIT score
Conclusion: Balance training program significantly reduces the risk of recurrent ankle sprains in high school athletes with lateral ankle sprain.

The major benefit of ATM is flexibility in transmitting communication services that have different traffic characteristics. In order to exploit this capability with high efficiency and still guarantying a required grade of service the problem of traffic control must be solved Traffic control is basically required when there is high degree of congestion. Congestion usually occurs when the input rate is greater than the total link capacity. All service classes in ATM are handled in same manner as a result design and dimensioning of ATM network has to be carried out according to quality of service requirements. Such an approach will lead to poor utilization of network resources. As a solution to this by queuing model all the cells from certain service class are assigned to the same class. The ATM network handles cells of different classes in different way to provide different services with different quality of service requirements.

Psychological-Type was the brain-child of Swiss psychiatrist, philosopher and humanist, Dr. Carl Jung, who uncovered these innate biases in his therapeutic work, a complete theory of which he published in his book Psychological Types, in 1921. It was the ingenuity of American mother-daughter team Katharine Briggs and Isabel Myers (1897-1980) that codified Jung's theory into a practical and usable format. Myers and Briggs developed the 4-letter code system we use today and although Jung had implicitly recognized the extraverted and introverted attitudes that mental processes could assume, their critical addition of the Judging/Perceiving dichotomy refined Jung's observations into a consistent and elegant system.Keywords

River Gomti receives treated/untreated industrial as well as municipal wastes from various drains of Lucknow city, India. In order to study heavy metal pollution (Cd, As, Pb and Cu) in the river, water and sediment samples were collected from 10 sampling stations along a 9 km stretch in the city of Lucknow. Results revealed that the concentrations of heavy metals in water samples were in the range: As: 0.035-0.061, Cd: 0.016-0.068, Cu: 0.029-0.062 and Pb: 0.031-0.065 mg l-1 whereas in sediments metal concentrations were found to be As: 3.72-14.98, Cd: 1.91-8.39, Cu: 8.97-95.35 and 35.82-90.92 μg g-1. Bioaccumulation of these metals was assessed in four aquatic macrophytes, viz. Pistia stratiotes, Eichhornia crassipes, Polygonum coccineum and Marsilea quadrifolia. Pistia stratiotes and Polygonum coccineum accumulated maximum amount of Pb followed by Cu, Cd and As, whereas in the case of Eichhornia crassipes and Marsilea quadrifolia the relative metal accumulation pattern was found as Cu > Cd > Pb > As and Cu > Pb > Cd > As respectively. The present study suggests that though the concentrations of toxic metals were lower in water, chronic exposure could result in bioaccumulation to a degree many-fold higher than in growing medium. It was also concluded that the water and sediment of the river should be regularly monitored for heavy metal contamination and care should be taken while using river water in agriculture/ aquaculture.Keywords

To evaluate the effect of potassium, zinc and boron on wheat productivity, the present investigation was undertaken at the experimental farm of Department of Soil Science, College of Agriculture, CSKHPKV, Palampur. The experiment comprised of sixteen treatments with four levels of K (0,50,100 andl50% of recommended dose), two levels of Zn (0 and 101^ ha ‘) and two levels of B (0 and 1 kg ha-1) in factorial randomized block design. Application of K @ 50,100 and 150 % of recommended dose increased plant height, dry matter accumulation, total and effective tillers per metre row length, grains per ear and test weight significantly. Application of Zn (10 kg ha-1) and B (1 kg ha-1) influenced the growth and yield attributes of wheat significantly. Highest grain (42.52q ha ‘) and straw (66.80q ha ‘) yield of wheat was recorded under 150 % of recommended dose of potassium. Application of 150 % of recommended dose of K increased grain and straw yield by 44 and 47 % over no K, respectively. Application of Zn (10 kg ha-1) increased grain and straw yield by 11 and 10 % over no Zn, respectively. The increase in grain and straw yield with the application of B (1 kg ha-1) was 5.6 and 6.3 %, respectively.Keywords

MANETs are Mobile ad hoc networks which comprises of mobile nodes and the host node relies on each other in order to maintain the connectivity of the network. The MANETs are more prone to various issues such as lower data delivery rate, higher delay in data transmission and such issue could ruin the qualitative performance of the network. There is only a possible way to overcome these issues by developing an efficient route creation process. In this work, the author has developed a type-2 FIS based route creation process. The node selection for route creation is done on the basis of the bandwidth, mobility, energy and delay factors of the node. The type-2 FIS system is applied in two different steps one considers the bandwidth and delay as an input and other considers the energy and mobility as an input then the output of the both FIS is fused together to derive a decision regarding the node selection for route creation. The MATLAB platform is used as an simulation platform to implement the proposed work. The results assure that the packet delivery ration of the proposed work is quite higher along with the reduced packet delay ratio.Keywords

The present investigation was carried out at experimental farm of Department of Soil Science, College of Agriculture, CSK HPKV, Palampur with sixteen treatments consisting of four levels of K (0, 50,100 and 150% of recommended dose), two levels of Zn (0 and 10 kg ha-1) and two levels of B (0 and 1 kg ha-1) . Highest grain (42.52q ha-1) and straw (66.80 q ha-1) yield of wheat was recorded under 150 per cent of recommended dose of wheat. Application of 150 per cent of recommended dose of K increased grain and straw yield by 43.7 and 46.9 per cent over no K, respectively. Application of Zn (10 kg ha-1) increased grain and straw yield by 10.9 and 9.8 per cent over no Zn, respectively. The increase in grain and straw yield with the application of B (1 kg ha-1) was 5.6 and 6.3 per cent, respectively. Application of K increased K, Zn and B contents significantly at maximum tillering and harvesting. Application of Zn increased Zn and B contents significantly at both the stages. However, B increased the contents of Zn and B only at maximum tillering stage and at harvesting (grain and straw). Almost similar effects of K, Zn and B application on total nutrient uptake were observed. Application of Zn increased partial factor productivity, physiological efficiency, agronomic efficiency and apparent recovery. Boron application increased partial factor productivity and apparent recovery only.Keywords

Background: Suturing of conjunctival graft is a traditional technique for pterygium excision surgery. Owing to its many disadvantages & complications many newer techniques like autologous fibrin glue have been introduced & accepted as an alternative method of graft adhesion. Methodology: The present study was conducted at the Department of Ophthalmology, MMIMSR, Mullana (Maharishi Markandeshwar Deemed to be University) in the time period extending between December 2017 and January 2019. 100 eyes of patients of either sex with primary pterygium were selected and divided into 2 groups of 50 each in Group 1- patient underwent conjunctival auto graft with 10-0 ethilon sutures while in Group 2 suture less conjunctival auto graft was done with patient’s own blood fibrin. Results: Parameters such as mean operating time, presenting complaints like pain, watering, burning and foreign body sensation, complications & recurrence were compared between the two groups on postoperative Day 1, Day 7, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 month, 3 month & 6th month. Statistical significant difference (p<0.01) was found between the suture and sutureless surgery for pterygium in relation to post-operative discomfort grading. There was a significant difference (t = 22.149, p = 0.001) in the duration of surgery for GROUP I surgery. Conclusion: Conjunctival auto graft with autologous serum is a safe and fast method. It is equally effective as conventional sutured autograft technique. Post operative discomfort is significantly less in this method. It also prevents suture related complications.Keywords

Aim: To study postoperative outcome & related complications of Glue free and suture free conjunctival autograft in pterygium excision in Haryana-A North Indian state. Materials and Method: The present study was conducted at the Department of Ophthalmology, MMIMSR, Mullana (Maharishi Markandeshwar Deemed to be University) in the time period extending between December 2017 and January 2019. 50 eyes of patients of either sex with primary pterygium were selected and pterygium was excised & sutureless & glue free conjunctival autograft was done with patient’s own blood fibrin. Parameters such as mean operating time, presenting complaints, grade, complications & recurrence were observed on postoperative Day 1, Day7, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 month, 3 month & 6th month. Results: The mean age of the study population was 48.82 + 11.13 years... Out of 50 eyes only 1 (2%) had conjunctival cyst, 2 (4%) graft edema and 3 (6%) had graft displacement, 1(2%) had graft lost, 1(2%) had graft rejection & 1(2%) had recurrence at 6 month follow up. The mean operation time was 24.88 minutes. Regarding type of the pterygium, out of 50 patients 9(18%) were grade 1, 26(52%) were grade 2, 11(22%) were grade 3 and 4(8%) were grade 4. Conclusion: Conjunctival autograt using patients own blood technique is a safe, cheaper, effective, with less surgical time & has minimal postoperative discomfort.Keywords
