Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Trial on Farmers

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, seeking to provide income support to all small and marginal landholder’s farmer’s families with cultivable land up 2 hectare across the country, related to agriculture and allied activities as well as domestic needs by way of payment of Rs. 6000 per year, subject to certain exclusions, has been launched on the 24th February, 2019. The amount is being credited in to the accounts of the beneficiaries held in destination banks. . Under the Scheme, the entire financial liability towards transfer of benefit to targeted beneficiaries will be borne by Government of India.
