Betelvine (Piper betle L.) is a perennial evergreen shade loving creeper to the family piperaceae. In India, it is commercially cultivated as an important and potential cash crop. The betel leaf occupies a significant place in everyday life of Indian people as it is used in rituals and in Indian system of medicine as cure of many diseases and disorders Betelvine crop cultivation is a profitable enterprise.
