Severalstrategies have been applied to improve the stability of vitamin C, such as the addition of other antioxidants in the system (e.g., Vitamin E, ferulic acid, and sodium metabisulfite). In addition, clay minerals have been used in cosmetic preparations due to their high ion-exchange capacity, thermal stability, softness, the small size of their particles, and their attractive adsorptive properties. In this study, we proposed the association of kaolin clay and well-known antioxidants and chelators to improve the stability of vitamin C. Although the kaolin clay alone did not improve the stability of the vitamin C, the clay mineral in association with certain chelators and/or antioxidants could improve the stability of formulations containing vitamin C. 2022-07-01T00:00:00+00:00 https://www.i-scholar.in/index.php/Rjtcs/article/view/218642 Regulatory Provisions for Cosmetics in India 2023-02-23T09:41:38+00:00 Kavya Kavya kavya6205@gmail.com Himmat Singh Chawra The cosmetics industry is undergoing significant transformations all over the world. Cosmetics regulation in regulated markets is significantly stricter in terms of quality, safety, nomenclature, and labelling in order to govern the use of cosmetic items. Cosmetic safety is governed by a variety of regulatory agencies around the world, i.e. countries with their own set of rules and regulations. According to a recent study, cosmetic regulations in India differ significantly from those in regulated markets such as the United States, the European Union, and Australia. India's cosmetics market is growing at a rate of roughly 20% per year, which is twice as fast as the US and European markets. Even though India's cosmetic standards are complicated and timeconsuming, they are required for pre- and post-market approvals. The existing Indian cosmetic regulations include serious flaws, such as the following: Multiple and complex regulations under different bodies, lack of Central Drug Standard Control Organization implementation guidelines, BIS Cosmetics issues that require standard development and amendment, non-uniform licencing approvals between states, and a divergent approach across authorities in interpreting a certain issue are all issues that must be handled. India's cosmetic industry is governed by the Drug and Cosmetic Act of 1940 and the Rules of 1945. In India, cosmetics are held to high standards and are governed by strict rules. This paper discusses the overall cosmetics scenario, as well as the regulations for cosmetics import and manufacture registration 2022-07-01T00:00:00+00:00 https://www.i-scholar.in/index.php/Rjtcs/article/view/218648 An Overview of Stem Cell Therapy 2023-02-23T09:41:38+00:00 Kunal D Sutar kkunalsutar@gmail.com Rutika D Harshad kkunalsutar@gmail.com Omkar S Sangar Aishwarya C Patil Santosh A Payghan Stem cells are defined as strong clonogenic and regenerative cells and differentiate into multiple cell lines. Stem cells are found in all of us, from the earliest stages of human growth to the end of life. According to the classification of stem cells are divided into 5 types: totipotent, pluripotent, multipotent, oligopotent and unipotent. They are essential for growth, development, maintenance and repair of the brain, bones, muscles, nerves, blood, skin, and other organs. Stem cell therapy continues as a new flexible approach to the treatment of diseases and injuries, with extensive medical benefits. Stock research raises many ethical and scientific questions as well as future challenges. Stem cell therapy, a precursor to a period of cell-based treatment that will one day restore function to those whose lives are now facing the daily challenge, is on its way to recovery. Stem cells have great potential for tissue regeneration and tissue repair but much remains to be learned about their biology, deception and safety before their full therapeutic potential can be discovered. In today’s world, disease control is very exciting and new methods are available to provide quality patient care, on the basis of scientific experiments and practical studies conducted by various institutions and organizations. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are purchased from most body tissues usually by the placenta and umbilical cord but other sources such as bone marrow found in MSCs are also important as each source will give the cells their own characteristics. They can be used for a variety of heart-related problems, bacterial infections, cirrhosis, liver failure, diabetes, and cancer treatment. A variety of procedures, whether physical or surgical, are available including cell therapy, tissue, osteo-engineering engineering and immunosuppressive tests to treat disease and ensure complete recovery. 2022-07-01T00:00:00+00:00 https://www.i-scholar.in/index.php/Rjtcs/article/view/218677 Overview of Herbal Cosmetics 2023-02-23T10:09:50+00:00 Pawan N karwa Karwapawan99@gmail.com Meera Devi Avinash B Thalkari Vivek M Thorat To remain healthy and to appear good, the skin surface requires periodic cleansing to remove dirt, sebum and other secretions, dead cells, crusts, applied make-ups, atmospheric change, and irregular life style. Tambe Sangita P Shirsat Neha R Jaiswal Now a day peoples are interested in the hair care preparation like shampoos and hair conditioners. Shampoos are the products which are used for the removal of the dirt and surface grease from the hair shaft and scalp. There are numbers of synthetic shampoos in the market as compared to the herbal or natural shampoo, but synthetic shampoo has some harmful effect on the hair or scalp like dryness of hair and keratin loss. Now a day peoples are more aware about the side-effects each and every ingredient used in the formulation of shampoo or any of the cosmetic preparation. Hence due to this reason there is increase in demand for the natural ingredient containing formulation. From the results and discussion we were concluded that the formulation was better in all aspects when compared to the synthetic shampoos. The marketed shampoos have excessive detergents which can strip the hairs off from the scalp. The prepared herbal shampoo was having better detergency and even it maintained the shiny and oily appearance. Therefore the formulated herbal shampoo passed the entire test and hence can be a better substitute to the shampoos available in market. 2022-07-01T00:00:00+00:00 https://www.i-scholar.in/index.php/Rjtcs/article/view/218689 A Review on Herbal Soap 2023-02-23T09:41:38+00:00 Samiksha V Amrutkar Ashwini R Patil Suraj K Ishikar A herbal soap and hand sanitizer was formulated using the leaf and bark extract of Azadirachta indica, Ocimum tenuiflorum, Sapindus mukorussi and Acacia concinna powder.
