Abstract

The main objective of the present study was to develop and optimize enteric coated pellets of Omeprazole using enteric polymers like hydroxyl propylmethylcellulose phthalate. Characterization of the drug was carried out by performing the melting point, identification test by FTIR, solubility, loss on drying and assay parameteres. Then drug-excipient interaction studies were carried out using FTIR. Six formulations of pellets were prepared, from which F5 was chosen for further coating process. Then F5 formulation was sub-coated with HPMC E5 and enteric coated using HPMCP-55.All the formulations were evaluated for their physico-chemical parameters like assay, drug content and dissolution, etc. The in vitro drug release study was performed for the prepared formulations. From the in vitro drug release study, it was found that all the formulations demonstrated excellent physical resistance to the acid medium after 2 hour and the drug release was found to be within specified limits. Formulation subjected to stability studies were checked for physical appearance, drug content and dissolution for 3 months.

Abstract

The aim of present work was to extract and isolate polymer from dried mosambi leaves to as a binding property in tablets using Aspirin as a drug. First we have to collected the fresh leaves of mosambi cleaned it and dried. Then make the dried leaves as a powder and extracted the powder by using soxhlet apparatus. For comparing methyl cellulose polymer was used as a reference. Totally 5 formulations F1, F2, F3, F4, F5 were prepared. After the evaluation of prepared tablets formulation F5 was found to be the best formulation and showing good polymer characteristics than the other formulations.

Abstract

Lyme disease is medically described as occurring in three phases, each with distinctive symptoms. The first phase is early localized disease, which occurs three to 30 days after the tick bite that transmitted the infection. This stage is characterized by skin inflammation. The rash that occurs is referred to as erythema migrans. It develops in about 70% of people who get Lyme disease. It starts at the site of the tick bite and expands over the next several days. It can eventually cover an area up to about 12 inches across. Some of the area may clear, giving the rash at times a bull's-eye appearance.

Abstract

Pico technology is a combination of pico meter and technology, which is similar the term nano techn-ology. The market-leading Pico Scope software supplied with the oscilloscopes enables analysis of voltage waveforms, includes automatic measurements such as frequency, duty cycle and rise time, and has a variety of trigger settings. It gives scientists the ability to construct new processes that can enhance biological systems, medicine, imaging, computing, printing, chemical catalysis, materials synthesis, and many other fields. With Pico technology we will be able to dive into structures on a pico-molecule level. A strand of DNA, one of the building blocks of human life, is only about 2 nanometers in diameter, both of which are much larger than a picometer. Drawing on the natural picoscale of biology, many medical researchers are working on designing tools, treatments, and therapies that are more precise and personalized than conventional ones and that can be applied earlier in the course of a disease and lead to fewer adverse side effects.

Abstract

Swine Flu or the Influenza A (H1N1) flu, an highly contagious acute respiratory disease of the pigs, is caused by one of the numerous swine influenza A strains and is highly contagious. The transmission of the virus is from person-to-person and is similar to the manner in which seasonal influenza spreads. Swine flu is a viral infection. It is a present public health problem globally. In the present situation many people infected by swine flu. Occurrence of swine flu has been reported form every part of the globe like mid-western United States, Canada, Mexico, South America, Kenya, China, Taiwan, Japan, and several parts of Eastern Asia including India. Seasonal flu is caused by influenza A, B, and C viruses and accounts for about 3 to 5 million cases of severe illness, and about 2,50,000 to 5,00,000 of deaths annually worldwide. It has been estimated that the total annual economic burdens of seasonal influenza epidemics amounted to $87.1 billion. There is a vaccine available to protect against swine flu. You can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza by Covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it. Wash your hands often with soap and water. Especially after you cough or sneeze. You can also use alcohol-based hand cleaners. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way. Try to avoid close contact with sick people. Stay home from work or school if you are sick.
