With the changes in the social structure of a society, the individuals need to manage their wealth and resources in such a way so as to ensure that the various personal and family goals that arise during their lifetime are met. This calls for a choice of investment options that would meet the individual's needs and personal preferences. Since the investment preferences of women are different from that of men, therefore, the financial institutions need to target women as a separate market segment.Moreover, although the involvement of women in various sectors has grown over the past few decades, their participation in the stock market is still very limited. Thus, with greater number of women entering the workforce and with tremendous changes in financial behavior of women, studying the investment preferences of women has become all the more important. Therefore, the current study is an attempt to examine the investment preferences of women stock as well as non-stock investors in Punjab. For the purpose of the study, data were collected from primary sources using a pre tested, well-structured questionnaire. To analyze the collected data, Descriptive Statistics have been used. The results of the study brought out that Fixed Deposits are the most preferred investment avenue of women investors in Punjab. Women non stock investors aspire to invest in the stock market in the near future while women stock investors show less inclination towards the stock market. The finding highlights the fact that women who are already investing in the stock market are not satisfied and want to withdraw their investments from the stock market.The paper suggests that education and awareness camps should be organized especially for women. Increase in awareness about the stock market will lead to trust and satisfaction among women, thereby improving their participation in the stock market.Women being risk averse investors need to trust the stock market in order to continue investing in it.Keywords

“Man for the field and woman for the hearth: Man for the sword and for the needle she: Man with the head and woman with the heart: Man to command and woman to obey; All else confusion”. These lines highlight the fact that investing in India is still considered a male prerogative and women still lag behind when it comes to investing especially in the stock market. Academic literature also holds that the frequency of investing depends upon a number of factors and varies from one group of women investors to another. Therefore, the present study is an attempt to identify the frequency with which investments are made by women investors of Punjab and to explore if there is a significant difference in the frequency with which investments are made by women investors based on their demographics. For the purpose of the study, data were collected from primary sources using a pre tested, well-structured questionnaire.
Descriptive Statistics as well as Cross Tabulation Analysis have been used in order to analyze the collected data. The results of the study brought out that the frequency of investing of the respondents varies with their age, marital status and their personal monthly income. Moreover, significant differences have also been observed in the frequency of investing of women stock and non-stock investors. This shows that the securities market offers greater favourable investment opportunities as compared to the capital markets. The paper suggests that women should invest in the securities market rather than the traditional investment avenues as it offers greater favorable opportunities for substantial profits. Moreover, women who intend to make investments at regular intervals should invest in Systematic Investment Plans. Besides this, the securities market should offer more and more lucrative opportunities to suit the needs of women investors belonging to the different age groups.

As green marketing has become an essential tool for business survival, so worldwide companies are adopting green marketing practices to achieve better business performance. Similarly, Indian consumer durables marketing firms are gradually adopting green marketing practices and ideologies. The inculcation of ‘green marketing practices’ in consumer durable goods foresee a long journey from product based certification to changes in features, supply chain, raw material choices, packaging based innovations and retail based advertising options. Hence, there are so many factors which affect green marketing. So, the current study is an attempt to shed light on the same issue. A questionnaire was framed based on review of literature and distributed among the manufacturers who have adopted green marketing practices in Punjab. Factor Analysis was applied on the collected information. 11 factors have been extracted and some suggestions were made with regard to the current study.Keywords

Investment satisfaction is the measure of the quality of services provided to the investors. Studies conducted in the past revealed that the investment industry in India is growing but still struggling to win investors’ confidence. Since an investors’ experience is very important for him to invest in the stock market, an attempt has been made to develop and validate a scale for measuring the investment experience of individual investors in the Indian stock market. The data for the study were collected from primary sources using a pre-tested and well-structured questionnaire. Factor Analysis and Confirmatory Factor Analysis were used to analyze the collected data. The study’s findings revealed that the factors, namely ‘Intermediaries’, ‘Regulator (SEBI)’, ‘Issuing Company’, ‘Use of Technology’ and ‘Investment Instruments’, are important factors determining the overall experience of investors about the stock market.Keywords
