Aonla, Jamun and Soapnut are the wild fruits/nuts which are important from commercial point of view. The present studies were carried out to assess natural variation in these species in Himachal Pradesh so as to screen out their promising strains for higher and quality production. A wide range of variation was observed in fruit and seed characters of these species which revealed that selection for their improvement could be very effective.Keywords

Effect or four levels of phosphorus (0, 30, 45 and 60 kg P2O5 ha-1) and three levels of molybdenum (0,40 and 80 g Mo ha-1) has been studied on concentration and uptake of N, P, K and Mo by R. pseudacacia seedlings. N, P, K and Mo concentration as well as their uptake enhanced significantly with the application of phosphorus whereas with molybdenum application, only P, K and Mo showed significant enhancement. However, combined application of both, phosphorus and molybdenum proved highly effective in increasing P, K and Mo content and uptake in R. pseudacacia.- Response of Black Locust (Robinia pseudacacia Linn.) to Phosphorus and Modybdenum Application under Nursery Conditions

The macronutrients (N, P, K, Ca and Na) concentration was studied in the leaves of Terminalia arjuna, the potential fodder species of low hills of Himachal Pradesh. The leaf samples were selected from leaf emergence (May month) to leaf senescence (April month). N, P and K contents decreased in the foliage of the species with the increase in the leaf age and leaf size whereas Ca concentration increased in the leaves throughout the growing season till the leaf fall. Na contents did not reveal any particular trend. The seasonal average of N, P, K, Ca and Na was 1.45, 0.194, 1.55, 4.39 and 0.19 per cent, respectively. Further, based on the seasonal average and seasonal nutrient trend, the optimum lopping time to harvest nutrient rich fodder for cattle is recommended as November and December monthsKeywords

Infants are the age group between birth to 1 year. Constipation is very common alignment in feeding problems. Every child has suffered with constipation. infancy period of the constipation is common problem. Constipation is defined as the difficulty in passing stool or longer than a normal time between the bowel movements.
OBJECTIVES: 1. Assess the pre test and post test level of knowledge regarding prevention and management of constipation among the mothers of infant (birth-1year). 2. Evaluate the effectiveness and to find association of planned teaching program by comparing the pretest and post test level of knowledge.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: Research Design-Pre Experiment Research Design With One Group Pre Test And Post Test Design With No Control Group. Setting of Study-The Present Study was Conducted in Alur Village of Hassan District In Karnataka. Target Population-The Target Population Of The Present Study Includes The Mothers Of Infant In Selected Community Areas Such As Alur At Hassan District. Sample Size-Sixty Mothers of Infant those fulfilled the inclusion And exclusion criteria. Sampling Technique-In This Study, The Non-Probability Convenient Sampling was used. RESULTS: Over all pre test knowledge mean 6.95 SD 2.32 and mean percentage is 23.16%. Over all post test knowledge mean 22.05 SD 2.31 and mean percentage is 73.50%. The paired t test value is 56.1. It shows that there is significant increase in the knowledge after the planned teaching program at the level of p<0.001. The net Effectiveness PTP 50.34%of knowledge about the prevention and management of infant constipation. The chi-square value test shows that there is no significance association between socio demographic variables and knowledge. CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION: The Findings of the study recommended the further interventional approaches regarding the prevention and management of infant constipation. Special health education campaign related to the Prevention and management of infant constipation are required. Nurses and other health workers should creates awareness among people and promote health Brest feeding practices to relieve constipation. The present study proved that planned teaching program was effective among the mothers to increase Knowledge about the Prevention and management of infant constipation.
