A critical review of the Polygala arillata complex is presented here. The study has resulted in five new combinations with higher status viz. P. arillata var. chartacea (P. arillata forma chartacea) ; P. arillata var. revoluta (P. arillata form a revoluta) ; P. angustifolia (P. arillata var. angustifolia ; P. angustifolia var. scandens (P. arillata forma scandens) ; P. globulifera var. kachinensis (P. arillata forma kachinensis) and several new distributional records.
