The Pandanaceae R. Br, is represented in North East India by 4 species of the only genus PANDANUS Parkinson among which Pandanus unguifer. Hook.f. is endemic to,this region and the Eastern Himalaya. This work provides informations about morphology, chromosome number, distribution and uses of the concerned taxa. P. unguifer Hook.f. and P. furcatus Roxb. have so far remained unrepresented in taxonomic literature on Meghalaya.
