Short diagnostic description of each species has been given along with the ecological notes, local name, flowering and fruiting period, local uses and geographical distribution. More emphasis has been laid on the extra-floral nectaries, number and shape of anthers and on the areole of the seeds. A key for the identification of the taxa is given along with the figures of important plant organs of taxonomic value.
