Part II dealt with families Takakiaceae through Marsupellaceae and Part III with Plagiochilaceae through Pleuroziaceae. Under both-were listed currently recognised genera and valid species, and hitherto known synonyms, critical notes and keys to identification of species where warranted. Distribution of genera and species in need of revision was also given. In this paper a taxonomic survey of the family Lejeuneaceae is dealt with. The various genera, species, their correct nomenclature and distribution are presented.
