The paper presents the main features of the geology, topography, climate and vegetation together with floristic analysis of the 313 species collected from the forests of the Gorakhpur forest division. In the enumeration of species, data on the flowering and fruiting condition and exact localities where it occurs and the field number of the collector, are furnished.
