The paper presents a description of three new species of Driessenia Korth. viz. Driessenia inaequalifolia Nayar, D. kemoelensis Nayar and D. ohwiana Nayar. A new variety Driessenia inaequalifolia Nayar var. alata Nayar is also proposed. D. ciliata Becc. ex Cogn. has been reduced to D. axantha Korth.; likewise D.ferox Bakh. f. has been reduccd to D. glanduligera Stapf.
