Abstract
The heavy mineral assemblages of the Jamkhandi granites have been investigated, and their percentages and frequencies estimated. Based on these data, histograms and cumulative curves are prepared. Correlation between the Jamkhandi granites and the Cuddapah granites is also attempted. The heavy mineral suites indicate that the Jamkhandi granites have been contaminated, a conclusion confirmed otherwise by field studies.
