Coralline Algae from Nerinea Beds of Pondicherry South India

The paper gives an account of the Corallinaceae from the Nerinea beds of Pond icherry, South India. Both Corallinae and Melobesieae lire present. Seven genera represented by twelve species of which four are new, are described. Evidence of Distichoplax hiserialis (Dietrich) and the planktonic foraminifera indicate a Palaeocene age for these beds.
