The study deals with vegetation sampling and data collections of the associated species of Tinospora cordiflora (Willd.) Miers. ex Hook. f. & Thomson from two sites, viz., Purba Medinipur and Paschim Medinipur respectively, following standard methods. This recent phyto-sociological investigation of the plant represents 58 associates, of which, 16 species are herbs, 15 species are shrubs, 12 species are twiners, 7 species are climbers, 6 species are trees and 2 species are scramblers. Out of 58 recorded associates, maximum Importance Value Index (IVI) was recorded in Cynodon dactylon (7.34) and minimum IVI in two species Azadirachta indica and Caesalpinia bonduc (1.1) from Purba Medinipur district whereas the highest IVI was recorded in Gomphrena globosa (7.8) and minimum in Tylophora indica (0.91) in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal.Keywords
