Microorganisms that colonize the rhizosphere help plants to cope with infection, toxic compounds, and other sources of stress. This work attempts to analyse the rhizospheric abundance of microorganisms around Nypa fruticans Wurmb. to characterise the optimum microbial content for proper survivability of the mangrove species. This is the first study which reports Nypa fruticans Wurmb. rhizospheric association of microorganisms.
