Prostaglandin Synthesis by, and the Effects of Prostaglandins on the Ovary of the Fresh Water Field Crab, Oziotelphusa senex senex

The endogenous concentration of prostaglandin D2, prostaglandin E2 and prostaglandin F in the ovary of crab Oziotelphusa senex senex were determined. Homogenates of crab ovary synthesized these three prostaglandins. Prostaglandin E2 was the major prostaglandin synthesized by the crab ovary, followed by prostaglandin F and prostaglandin D2.

Abstract


The endogenous concentration of prostaglandin D2, prostaglandin E2 and prostaglandin F in the ovary of crab Oziotelphusa senex senex were determined.
