An essential even in male reproduction is formation of functionally mature spermatozoa. It is believed that the spermatozoa do not have the ability to move progressively or to fertilize an egg by the time they leave the testis. The testicular spermatozoa are non-functional and require critical post-testicular modifications in the long convoluted tubule known as epididymis. This tubule can be subdivided into three general regions, which include the caput, corpus and Cauda.

Abstract

An essential even in male reproduction is formation of functionally mature spermatozoa. It is believed that the spermatozoa do not have the ability to move progressively or to fertilize an egg by the time they leave the testis. The testicular spermatozoa are non-functional and require critical post-testicular modifications in the long convoluted tubule known as epididymis. This tubule can be subdivided into three general regions, which include the caput, corpus and Cauda.
