Technology development is a continuous process and these technologies will tend to improve the quality of any product. Home automation is getting importance to have mainstream focus step by step because of its assortment of preferences. Automation of home appliances can be achieved by remote control or by local networking. Main motive of this work is to design a kit which can control AC loads from Android phone by using Arduino as microcontroller. Home automation is getting widely accepted for reasons of ease operation, high security and energy saving. This work illustrates an easy home automation system that contains several client modules (home appliances) and a remote mobile host controller. A Bluetooth enabled android based smart phone (as a wireless device) is used here and through the phone, client modules communicate with the host controller.
