Abstract
AR grade Potassium dihydrogen orthophosphate, KH2PO4 (i.e.KDP) and urea added KDP were obtained from solution .Elongated crystals of assorted sizes have been obtained by the slow evaporation method. XRD studies show systematic variation in intensity of peaks. 'a' parameter is found to remain constant while 'c' parameter shows changes. Dielectric constant and Electrical conductivity measurements were carried out on both the pure and urea added KDP at various temperatures ranging from 303 K to 453 K by the conventional two-probe method. The present study shows that the dielectric constant and conductivity in KDP crystals, increases with the increase in amount of urea concentration and also with temperature. Dielectric constant was found to be independent of temperature.
