This paper proposes a Design of an Embedded Charge Control Unit (ECCU) for a PV-solar/Wind Hybrid energy system, to provide the intermittent power supply for the telephone Base Transceiver Station (BTS) in rural areas. And also, an analytical study for modelling an optimized hybrid energy system configuration. Hybrid energy system comprises of photovoltaic solar array, wind turbine generator (WTG), diesel generator and the battery back up, are connected to centralized DC bus with the conventional power supply. To enhance the effective operation of the Hybrid power system, several operating modes have been employed in the ECCU. Analytical studies to optimize the system configuration and to identify the feasibility of the selected project location are simulated using the software called as HOMER.Keywords

In the present study, a series of novel Schiff bases of isatin were synthesized by condensation of imesatin with different aromatic aldehydes. The imesatins were synthesized by reaction of isatin with p-phenylenediamine. The chemical structures of the synthesized compounds were confirmed by means of IR, 1H-NMR, mass spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. These compounds were screened for antioxidant activity by DPPH radical scavenging activity. In this method, the compound 3-(4-(4-dimethylaminobenzylideneamino) phenylimino) indoline-2-one (5c) showed highest antioxidant activity because of the presence of electron donating group. Keywords

The Simple, precise and economical UV method have been developed and validated for the quantitative for the estimation of Eletriptan hydrobromide in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms. Eletriptan hydrobromide is dissolve in the water and It shows absorbance maxima at 219 nm, Beer's law was found to be obeyed in the concentration range of 5-25 μg/mL. The developed method was validated according to ICH guidelines and was found to be accurate and precise. The proposed method can be successfully applied for the estimation of Eletriptan hydrobromide in bulk and pharmaceutical dosage forms. Results of the analysis were validated statistically and by recovery studies. Keywords

The effects of the delamination in the critical buckling load failure of E-Glass /epoxy composite laminates are analysed. The buckling load of rectangular composite plates is determined by carrying out the experimental work for different aspect ratios of range 2 to 3. The specimens are made with unidirectional fibres of orientation (90°/45°/-45°/0°)s. The width of long 100 mm and 50 mm at the centre of the plate, a single substantial delamination is made at the mid layer produced by Teflon film using hand lay-up technique. The buckling loads of plates were found by using simply supported boundary condition and kept the other side edges free. The experimental buckling loads were found from the graph drawn for vertical displacement vs load. By drawing the graph for the vertical displacement vs. load, the experimental buckling load can be calculated. Using finite element software of ANSYS 10, the experimental results were validated. Keywords

The presented research involves two types of Smart adaptive composite beams (SAC). The study was conducted on smart composite beams composed of LY5210 and EPOLAM 2063 resin systems respectively. The fabrication of composite beams involved embedding SMA wires in between layers of 0/90 woven glass fibre in the respective resin systems, followed by suitable curing and post curing cycles. Suitable mould was designed and manufactured to facilitate the required pre-straining of SMA wires. Both static and dynamic tests were done on the SAC specimens to study the behaviour of these SACs. Static and free vibration analyses were carried out using MSC Nastran and Hypermesh. There has been good agreement between the results of finite element analysis and the experimental results. Keywords

The joining of advanced high strength steel (AHSS) of type dual phase 800 (DP800) by fusion welding is challenging owing to its high strength and complex microstructural features. It leads to softening of heat affected zone (HAZ) and cracking due to the high heat input associated with fusion welding processes. This significantly deteriorates the tensile shear fracture properties of DP800 steel joints. To overcome this problem, resistance spot welding (RSW) is employed to join DP800 steel thin sheets. It involves resistive heating of joining surfaces under pressure at a temperature less than melting point of parent metal. This significantly reduces the issues in joining DP800 steel such as softening in HAZ, solidification and HAZ cracking and offers precise spot weld. The tensile shear fracture properties of joints are influenced by RSW parameters such as welding current, welding time, and electrode force. Hence, establishing empirical relationships to predict the tensile shear fracture properties of joints is crucial. So, the main objective of this investigation is to establish empirical relationships to predict the tensile shear fracture properties of resistance spot welded dual phase 800 steel lap joints using regression analysis. The optimal process window of RSW is established using response surface methodology (RSM) to attain superior tensile shear fracture properties of DP800 steel joints. Keywords
