Abstract
Ever since the appearance of earliest reports to the effect that consumption of Lathyrus sativus for prolonged period causes a disease of neurological origin, namely, lathyrism, many interesting investigations have been conducted throughout the world on various aspects of the problem and the same have been reviewed from time to time.
