Abstract
Earlier reviews of the existing evidence for the supposition that malnutrition causes permanent mental retardation in man found that the existing evidence was inconclusive, although many articles in newspapers and magazines, and even in scientific journals, inferred that children of all ages had been permanently impaired mentally by malnutrition.
