Abstract

The major problem facing the developing nations including India is the impending protein crisis. In order to meet this situation, a search for new and cheap protein-rich materials, besides increasing the production of protein from conventional plant and livestock sources, is needed.

Abstract

The oil seed cakes, which are very rich in protein, are the important by - product of the oil crushing industry. Formerly they were used mainly as manure or as cattle feed, but recently their usefulness as a •constituent of human food is being increasingly realised.
