Abstract
A large section of population consume diets which are quantitatively and or qualitatively deficient. Malnutrition affects the general health of population and the cost of malnutrition is of great concern for a country like ours. The problem of human hunger has always remained the top most problem through the ages and it has defied the solution in a large part of the world barring some of the developed nations which have tackled this problem. The problem of malnutrition is particularly severe in the third world countries including India.
