Effect of Guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba) on Serum Lipids, Uric Acid and Proteins

Guar (Cyamopsis tetragonoloba) is grown in India and used widely as a cattle feed. The guar gum obtained from it, has recently been reported, to decrease post prandial blood glucose level by altering the insulin secretion or insulin sensitivity and recommended to be included in the diet of diabetics as it lowers their insulin requirement.
