Sociology of food and nutrition emerged as an area of speciality within sociology which studies the conditions of food and nutrition in different societies. Other social sciences study food and nutrition from their own perspective and emphasize on a particular aspect of food. Recently, sociologists noticed that food and nutrition must be investigated from its different aspects.
