Food and domestic environment along with smoking and alcohol consumption ore the major factors attributed in the etiology of human oesophageal cancer (OC). Fumonisins, the mycotoxins produced by Fusarium moniliforme hove been epidemiologically correlated with the high incidence of human oesophageal cancer (OC) in South Africa, China, Iran, Italy, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Brazil and has been recently reviewed by the World Health Organizations.
