This study examines the effectiveness of Mephentermine Sulfate drug solution to inhibit corrosion of mild steel in hydrochloric acid (HCl) media with weight lost technique. The inhibition efficiency (% IE) of each solution was measured. The inhibition action of the Mephentermine Sulfate solution was discussed in view of Langmuir adsorption isotherm. It was found that the extracts act as a good corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 1.0 M HCl solution. Weight loss of mild steel is decreased as the concentration of inhibitor is concentration increased. Inhibition efficiency of mild steel corrosion was optimum 91.43%. The results obtained proved that Mephentermine Sulfate can serve as an effective inhibitor of mild steel in HCl media.
