The purpose of this research was to examine factors that influence employee engagement in flower farms in Naivasha sub-county, Kenya. The research objective was to examine the influence of leadership style on employee engagement. The research adopted a descriptive study research design. Simple random sampling method was used to identify a sample of 386 respondents from a population of 10,997 unionizable employees. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires and was analyzed using the SPSS version 22, MS Excel software. The study established that the transactional type of leadership practiced at the flower farms negatively influenced employee engagement. The farms should therefore implement a style of leadership that encourages participation from employees in order to empower them and increase their level of engagement at the workplace.
