Abstract
Globalisation has gained momentum from 1990s and the developing countries have opened up for freer trade. It has expanded incomes of their citizens and at the same time resulted in their environmental degradation. This has led to a debate among the economists and environmentalists whether greater trade leads to environmental degradation or environmental regulations restrict free trade. The book under review focuses on this subject by using some important theoretical terms like Population Haven Hypothesis, Environmental Kuznets Curves and Environmental Performance Index.
