Abstract
In the last decade several key incidents have occurred in the Indian health insurance arena and it is important to develop synergy among the two most important and critical players, i.e., the insurers and healthcare providers. The relationship between them governs the service delivery model. Its study is critical for the current and future growth of the industry. The study suggests that there are multiple factors that can either develop or destroy synergy among insurers and healthcare providers. They may be categorized into different synergy buckets (INSECT Framework) and can help to develop strategies for synergy.
