Digital Revolution-An Elixir for Women Professionals

Culturally in India, it was a foregone conclusion that economic activities are exclusively the prerogative of males while child bearing and domestic chores rest with the women folk of the family. In the recent decades, proper education, better awareness alongside increasing cost of living have facilitated women folk to venture out and seek employment. In the current scenario, significant numbers of women join the work force but a countable few succeed to make it to the top. The barriers that face women professionals from climbing the ladder of corporate success may be classified as personal, social, cultural, organizational and structural.This paper attempts to analyze the role of 'Digitization' as a possible solution to the barriers faced by working women professionals.
